British Auto Service was founded by John Vlasis in 1981 to support his SCCA "H" Production racing effort. In 1983 John partnered with Craig Pfister and the company became British Auto Service LLC. In 1987 they moved into a larger facility in Menomonee Falls where the bussiness continued to grow. In 1996 a larger facility was needed and operations were moved to the current building, a modernized 7000 sq ft facility in downtown Miolwaukee.

John and Craig have over 50 years of automotive experience. John is also in his 30th year as a one man SCCA racing team. He is currently racing a Formula Ford on the National SCCA Central Division circuit.
